Private label candles in the UAE: how to launch your own candle line
Private label candles: the candle is produced by a manufacturer but sold under your brand — your name on the jar, your scent choices, your packaging. For boutiques, concept stores, hotels, salons and lifestyle brands in the UAE it is the fastest way to add a signature product without building a production line.
This guide walks through the decisions you make on a private label candle project with Lumina Trading in Dubai, in the order you make them.
1. Choose the jar size
Size drives both price and burn time. Our standard formats:

Base prices apply from 300 units per size and exclude VAT. The base price includes the jar in any finish, a standard wick, soy wax, a bamboo or silver / gold metal lid and one base fragrance. Burn times depend on the wick and fragrance. Larger formats are available on request, and wooden wicks are available for +15 AED per candle.
2. Pick the jar finish
The jar sets the mood of the brand before anyone smells the candle. We work with matte, gloss, frosted and amber glass, plus colour options such as black, white and green. Every jar finish is included in the base price. Maison Morganti, for example, used contrasting white and black jars so each fragrance in the line is recognisable at a glance.
3. Decide how your brand goes on the jar
There are two routes, and the right one depends on volume and look:
- Sticker labels (+5 AED per unit) — flexible, quick to produce (about 1 week after approval) and suited to smaller runs. Smaller sticker orders can be discussed individually.
- Direct printing on the jar (+15 AED per unit for one colour) — a permanent, premium finish with 360° colour artwork and gold, rose gold or silver foil options. Production takes 10–14 working days after approval, with a minimum of 300 units per printed design.
A useful detail: different fragrances can share one printed design. One design across three scents still counts toward the same 300-unit run.
4. Choose fragrances
We work with more than 150 fragrances across six families — woody & oriental, floral, fruity, herbs & spices, gourmand and fresh. For the Gulf market, oud, amber, Taif rose, saffron and cardamom are natural anchors; vanilla, fig and white musk work well for broader retail. 5. Add packaging
- Kraft box: +5 AED, with an optional box sticker (+5 AED)
- Branded printed box: +15 AED (replaces the kraft box)
- Fabric pouch: +3 AED
6. Approve a sample
Before production you approve a physical sample: AED 100 for a sticker-label sample or AED 250 for a printed jar. The sample is paid upfront and fully credited against an order of 300+ units — so if you go ahead, it costs you nothing extra.
What a typical order costs
Example: 500 candles in 200 ml jars with a sticker label and a kraft box = 70 + 5 + 5 = AED 80 per candle, or AED 40,000 excluding VAT. Your final quotation depends on the fragrance, jar design and packaging — use the price estimator to model your own order.
Payment and delivery
Custom orders are paid 50% to start and 50% before dispatch; international payments are accepted. Delivery is free within Dubai on every order, free across the UAE and the GCC from 1,000 units, and to Saudi Arabia from 2,000 units; smaller orders are delivered at additional cost. Orders of 10,000+ units get individual terms.
